Chesterton Academy of Tyler Receives Transformational Bitcoin Donation

Tyler, Texas – Chesterton Academy of Tyler, a classical high school opening in Fall 2026, announces it has received an anonymous donation of Bitcoin valued at over $120,000, marking a significant milestone in the school's mission to bring classical Catholic education to East Texas.

The generous gift represents one of the largest single contributions to the school since its founding and will directly support the academy's efforts to provide accessible, high-quality education while ensuring competitive compensation for faculty members.

"We are profoundly grateful for this extraordinary act of generosity," said Ryan Heneise, Treasurer. "This donation reflects the confidence our community has in classical Catholic education and our commitment to forming young minds and hearts in the rich tradition of the Church."

Chesterton Academy of Tyler is part of the Chesterton Schools Network, a growing movement of more than 60 classical Catholic high schools across North America. The school's curriculum is grounded in the integrated humanities, emphasizing literature, history, philosophy, theology, mathematics, and the sciences - all taught in light of Catholic teaching and the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.

The Bitcoin donation will serve three critical purposes: helping to reduce tuition costs for families, ensuring the school can deliver a well-rounded classical education with robust programs in the arts and sciences, and providing fair compensation to attract and retain excellent teachers dedicated to the formation of young people.

"Classical education is not merely about transmitting information - it's about forming students in truth, goodness, and beauty," Ryan Heneise continued. "Every gift we receive enables us to make this transformative education accessible to more families and to build a school community rooted in faith and academic excellence."

Chesterton Academy of Tyler welcomes support from families and community members who share its vision. Donations can be made through the school's website at https://chestertontyler.org/.

In January the school will begin accepting applications for its inaugural Fall 2026 class.
